Overview:

Step into the world of transformation with this intensive Pro Character Makeup workshop, designed for artists who want to create realistic and imaginative character looks for film, theatre and creative projects.
This hands-on training focuses on developing characters through age transformation, facial detailing and prosthetic application. From subtle ageing techniques to bold fantasy creations, you will learn how to build believable characters using professional SFX products and techniques.
The workshop emphasises structure, blending, texture and detailing to ensure each character is visually impactful and camera-ready.


Training Format:
A structured blend of product knowledge, guided demonstrations and hands-on practical sessions, with personalised feedback and corrections.

• Introduction to character makeup and professional SFX products
• Old age makeup using highlight and contour techniques
• Creating wrinkles using latex and ageing methods
• Application of facial hair including moustache and beard
• Ventilation basics for facial hair application
• Blending techniques for natural and seamless finishing
• Designing and creating fantasy characters such as monsters and elves
• Application of latex prosthetics including horns and ears
• Edge sealing and finishing techniques for realistic results

Workshop Availability

• Workshops are conducted subject to a minimum of two confirmed attendees.
• Limited participants – first come, first serve basis.
• To confirm your seat, a non-refundable advance payment of ₹3,000 is required.
• If the workshop does not meet the minimum requirement, you may opt to join the waiting list by sharing your details, workshop title, and preferred date(s).
• You will be contacted once the minimum number of participants is reached and confirmation can be issued.
• If you have booked and are the sole attendee for a scheduled workshop, you will be informed at least one week prior to the course date.


Additional Information

Do I need to bring anything?
All tools, brushes, and products (including SFX lab materials for practice) will be provided. We do recommend bringing an old T-shirt or an apron… creativity can get a little messy!

Will a model be provided?
Models are not provided. Participants may work on themselves or bring a model for practical sessions.

Where will the training be conducted?
The workshop will be conducted in a state-of-the-art SFX lab in Chennai, fully equipped with professional tools, equipment, and materials required for training.

Is accommodation provided?
Accommodation is not included. Participants travelling from outside Chennai are required to arrange their own stay. Information on nearby accommodation options can be provided upon request.


Certification

A certificate will be provided upon successful completion of the workshop.
